Description Svirel
The SVIREL pepper variety is an early-maturing and high-yielding Siberian hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is of medium height with a semi-spreading form, bearing narrow-conical fruits of medium length and about 20 grams in weight. In technical ripeness, the peppers are green, and in biological ripeness — red. Their surface is smooth and glossy, with a good spicy heat, making this variety ideal for use fresh or dried as a seasoning for soups, meat and fish dishes, as well as for making infusions and adding to preservation and marination. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late February to early March. Seedlings should be thinned at the stage of one or two true leaves, then fertilized twice or thrice with a complex mineral fertilizer. Seven to ten days before transplanting, seedlings should be hardened off. Peppers are planted under temporary covers in mid-May, and into open ground in late May to early June, when the threat of frost has passed. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm. Subsequent care includes regular watering, fertilizing, and soil loosening. It is important not to plant this variety near sweet peppers, as this may cause bitterness in sweet fruits.
