Pepper Recruit

Hot pepper variety 'Recruit' is a mid-season plant intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic covers. The bushes are compact, about 40-50 cm tall, sturdy and sufficiently branched, allowing them to not require staking even under heavy fruit load. The plant demonstrates resistance to low temperatures, changes in humidity level, and tolerance to major diseases of solanaceous crops, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

The fruits of 'Recruit' pepper have round or elongated-conical shape, reaching 15-18 cm in length and 1.5-2 cm in diameter, weighing 10-25 grams. In technical maturity, they are light or dark green, and in biological maturity, they turn bright or dark red. Fruit wall thickness is about 3 mm. The flavor is moderately spicy, piquant and aromatic, making it versatile for use in fresh dishes, cooking, as well as for marinating, drying and preserving. The fruits are well-transported and retain their market appearance and taste quality for a long time.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching approximately 1.76 kg per square meter, making it attractive for both hobby and commercial cultivation.
