Description SALOMON
Sweet pepper Salomon F1 is an early-maturing hybrid specifically developed for cultivation in protected ground. The plant is tall and compact, with a well-developed leaf canopy that effectively protects fruits from sunburn. The hybrid exhibits high fruit set even at elevated temperatures, ensuring a stable yield during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods. The pepper is resistant to several viral diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus and pepper mottle virus, and has moderate resistance to tomato leaf spot. Salomon pepper fruits are cube-shaped, block-type, with four chambers. Their size is approximately 8.5 by 10 cm, and weight ranges from 200 to 250 grams. Fruit wall thickness reaches 6-7 mm, providing high firmness and absence of micro-cracks. At technical maturity, fruits are dark green, and at biological maturity — deep red. Both fruit states retain pronounced flavor and market appearance, making them suitable for fresh consumption, thermal processing, and canning. Due to high fruit density and turgor, the pepper withstands transportation and long-term storage well. Salomon F1 hybrid is a standard for cultivation in modern polyethylene greenhouses and is characterized by high productivity. Its resistance to adverse conditions and diseases, along with superior fruit quality, make this pepper an excellent choice for commercial production and home cultivation. Early maturity — about 72-75 days after transplanting — allows for quick harvest, which is especially important for intensive agriculture.
