Pioneer pepper variety is early maturing, with a vegetation period of 90 to 105 days. The plant is compact, semi-spreading, reaching a height of 50-70 cm. Fruits have an elongated-conical shape with slight longitudinal ribbing and weigh 50-60 g. In technical ripeness, they are cream or light green, and in biological ripeness — bright red. Fruit wall thickness is 4-5 mm, the flesh is dense and juicy, with good flavor qualities.
Pioneer variety is distinguished by its even fruiting and cold resistance, allowing it to be grown both in open and protected soil. The crop is heat- and moisture-loving, so it is recommended to plant it in sunny locations sheltered from wind. For planting, the seedling method is used, with seedlings aged 55-65 days, and seeds sown at a depth of about 2 cm.
To obtain a high-quality yield, fresh manure should not be applied, as it may negatively affect the quantity and quality of fruits. Pioneer variety is versatile in use and suitable for various culinary purposes due to its flavor characteristics and dense flesh.
