Tomato Golden Stream — an early, high-yielding variety developed by specialists of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The ripening period is 85-95 days, allowing the first harvest to be obtained as early as 86 days after emergence of seedlings. The plant is determinate, growing 50-80 cm tall, does not require pinching or shaping, and tying to supports is done as needed. The bushes have a moderate number of dark green leaves, which simplifies care and harvesting.
The fruits of tomato Golden Stream are oval or ellipsoidal in shape, uniform in size and weight — 40 to 70 grams. Their color is rich golden-orange, the flesh is dense and sweet, with about 5% sugar content and elevated carotene levels. The seed chambers are poorly expressed, containing a small number of seeds. The fruits are highly transportable, retain their market appearance for a long time, and do not crack, making this variety especially attractive for whole-fruit canning and juice production.
The Golden Stream variety is characterized by high yield — up to 10 kg per square meter or 28-35 tons per hectare. It is resistant to temperature fluctuations and immune to many tomato diseases, ensuring fruit set even under adverse weather conditions. Due to its excellent taste and decorative appearance, this tomato will be a great addition to any garden and an ideal choice for growing in private home gardens on open ground.
