VEPERS

The Vesper pepper variety is an early-maturing type, reaching technical maturity approximately 108 days after germination. The plant is semi-spreading, weakly leafy, and grows 80 to 120 cm tall. Fruits have an elongated-conical shape with a smooth, slightly wavy surface. In technical maturity, they are yellowish, while in biological maturity, they turn red. Fruit mass ranges from 60 to 90 grams, with wall thickness of 5–6 mm. A distinctive feature of this variety is good fruit set even at low temperatures, making it resistant to unfavorable growing conditions. The Vesper variety is recommended for cultivation in open ground, as well as in plastic and glass-covered greenhouses. Sowing for seedlings is conducted at the end of February, transplanting occurs in the cotyledon stage, and seedling planting in the ground is done at the end of May. To form the plant, all lateral shoots and leaves should be removed up to the first fork, which promotes better development of main fruits. Planting scheme is 40 x 60 cm, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and fruiting. Yield reaches 3.8–4.7 kg per square meter. Vesper pepper is suitable for fresh consumption and is widely used in home cooking. Due to its characteristics and resistance to low temperatures, it is an excellent choice for gardeners and growers seeking a high-quality, flavorful harvest.
