Ohnivec — medium-early variety of hot pepper with fruits having a distinctive horn shape, about 18 cm long. The fruits have an extremely spicy flavor and thin walls, 3-4 mm thick. During technical ripeness, they are light green, and at botanical ripeness, they turn into a rich red hue.
The plant is of medium height and exhibits high resistance to viral diseases, ensuring stable yields and high fruit quality. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is highly valued among gardeners and farmers.
Ohnivec is well-suited for various processing methods: it is used for drying, pickling, and whole-fruit canning. Its spicy flavor and attractive appearance make this pepper a popular ingredient as a spice and food additive. The variety is produced in the Czech Republic by the company Semo.
