Pepper ORANGE STAR OF THE EAST

Breeding Excellence by Sedek

The “Zvezda Vostoka Oranzhevaya” (Orange Star of the East) series from the Sedek agro-firm has long been a benchmark for reliability among vegetable growers. Developed by breeders S.V. Dubinin, I.N. Dubinina, and M.I. Kirillov, this variety is the result of long-term efforts to combine gourmet flavor with high field hardiness in large-fruited peppers.

Agronomic Profile and Yield

Classified as a mid-season crop, this variety reaches technical maturity in 100–110 days from emergence. The cuboid fruits, typically featuring four distinct chambers, are a hallmark of the series. With an individual fruit weight of 120–160 grams and an impressive wall thickness of 7–8 mm, it is an excellent choice for fresh consumption, culinary processing, and freezing.

Disease Resistance

A key factor in the popularity of “Zvezda Vostoka Oranzhevaya” is its genetically ingrained defense system. The variety shows robust resistance to verticillium wilt and a broad spectrum of viral threats, including tobacco mosaic virus. This significantly reduces the risk of crop loss in unstable climatic conditions.

Cultivation Strategy

This model is adapted for both open-field cultivation and glass greenhouses. Its versatility allows farmers to effectively plan a conveyor-belt production cycle. Reliable yield and high marketability make “Zvezda Vostoka Oranzhevaya” a staple in the product portfolios of both private farms and professional agricultural enterprises.
