IOLANTA

Iolanta pepper is an ultra-early variety, reaching technical maturity within 88 to 103 days. The fruits have a cube-shaped or blunt-ended form, smooth and highly glossy. In technical maturity, they are greenish-white, and in biological maturity, they turn dark red. Fruit weight ranges from 100 to 160 grams, with wall thickness of 6-8 mm. The flesh is juicy and aromatic, and the thin skin makes the fruits especially appealing for consumption.

The plant is semi-spreading, reaching heights of 30 to 65 cm, depending on growing conditions. The culture is heat- and moisture-loving, so it is recommended to plant it in sunny areas protected from wind. For optimal yield, it is best grown from seedlings, with an ideal seedling age of 55-56 days. Seeds should be sown at a depth of 2 cm.

To increase yield and fruit quality, fresh manure should not be applied, as it negatively affects plant development.
