F1 Cucumber — a high-yielding, bee-pollinated bush hybrid of the cornichon type suitable for open and protected ground. Named for its dense, crisp green cucumbers with high salt tolerance. Plants are female-flowering, with limited branching (short lateral shoots of determinate type). 2–3 to 10–12 fruiting nodes form at each node. F1 Cucumber is a hybrid with slow fruit growth, which prevents overgrowth. Developed for barrel pickling, as well as for canning mini-cucumbers. Cucumbers are large-warty, white-tipped, intensely green, 8–11 cm long; wart spacing is moderate. Resistant to olive spot, common cucumber mosaic virus, tolerant to powdery mildew and false powdery mildew. 10% pollinator should be sown with the hybrid. Pollinator seeds are included in each hybrid packet.
Planting density in open ground: 3.5–4.5 plants/m2; in greenhouses: 3 plants/m2.
