Pepper ELIXIR

Working with 'Elixir' hot pepper

Choosing the 'Elixir' variety is a decision based on reliable breeding standards. Developed by specialists at the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (authors Yu.P. Shevchenko and V.F. Pivovarov), this pungent pepper variety is built for predictable performance rather than ornamental value. For a farmer, it serves as a high-yield 'workhorse' that responds well to standard agronomic practices.

Operating features

• Growth and maintenance: The plant maintains a well-balanced vegetative mass. It does not require intensive pruning or staking, which simplifies maintenance operations and ensures natural aeration, thereby reducing the risk of fungal diseases.
• Resource efficiency: 'Elixir' is undemanding regarding intensive fertilization. It performs optimally with basic nutritional programs, allowing for cost-effective crop management without the need for excessive chemical inputs.
• Harvesting: The fruit shape is ergonomically suited for efficient harvesting. The pods detach easily, ensuring high labor productivity during large-scale picking operations.

From an operational standpoint, this variety demonstrates high resilience to temperature fluctuations, which is essential for unpredictable growing seasons. The harvested product is highly durable, making it an excellent candidate for drying or long-term preservation while maintaining its intense pungency and marketability.
