Egoza Krasnaya

Egoza Red — a mid-season hot pepper variety with a decorative, compact, and very low plant, covered with small dark green leaves. The fruits have a conical shape and point upward, giving the plant an attractive appearance. This variety is suitable for cultivation under various conditions: in open ground, under plastic coverings, as well as in pots on balconies or indoors, making it ideal for gardeners and indoor horticulture enthusiasts.

The fruits of Egoza Red are short, smooth, weighing approximately 10-12 grams, with wall thickness of 1-2 mm. In technical ripeness, they are green, while in biological ripeness, they turn deep red. The pepper has an extremely spicy flavor, making it perfect for home cooking, canning, and pickling. The yield of this variety is approximately 1.3 kg per square meter, and the period from germination to the first harvest takes about 110-115 days.

For cultivation, sow seeds in seedlings in late February — early March, at a depth of about 0.5 cm. Pinching is performed at the stage of 1-2 true leaves, and transplanting seedlings into open ground or under coverings should be done at the end of May. It is important to note that seedlings of hot and sweet pepper varieties should not be planted near each other to avoid cross-pollination, which may result in bitter-tasting sweet fruits.
