Ixxion F1

Ixxion F1 cabbage is a late-maturing hybrid of white cabbage developed by the Dutch company Hazera. The vegetation period ranges from 130 to 160 days from germination or transplanting into open ground. The plant features a compact shape, strong root system, and a well-developed leafy rosette with a dense waxy coating of rich emerald green, which protects against fungal diseases and pests. The heads are round, dense, with excellent internal structure, and average weight varies from 2.5 to 5.1 kg depending on growing conditions. The cabbage is resistant to internal necrosis, Fusarium, and tolerant to thrips, ensuring high-quality harvests.

The Ixxion F1 hybrid is characterized by high yield and excellent storability. The harvest retains quality in the field, does not crack at the root, and withstands transportation without damage. Storage potential reaches up to 7-8 months even under simple conditions, making this variety popular for long-term storage and processing. The cabbage is suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and other processing methods, possessing excellent flavor qualities.

The hybrid can be grown either through seedlings or direct sowing into open ground. Seeds are sown in April-May in greenhouses or in May in open ground at a depth of 0.5-1 cm. Seedlings are transplanted at the end of May with a recommended planting scheme of 60x60 cm or about 3-4 plants per square meter, corresponding to a density of 30-40 thousand plants per hectare. The cabbage adapts well to various soils and climatic conditions, tolerates low soil nitrogen levels, and positively responds to intensive cultivation methods, requiring regular watering.
