CAREEN GREY

Peony Careen Grey — a perennial garden plant from the P. lactiflora group, reaching up to 70 cm in height. The flowers are of Japanese form, semi-double, and burgundy in color with ruffled petals, about 16-17 cm in diameter. At the center of the flower, light pink petals with a light yellow edging are located, giving the flower a special elegance. The peony has a rich aroma that lasts quite a long time, making it an excellent choice for cutting and creating floral compositions. Blooming occurs in May or June, depending on the climatic zone.

The plant is characterized by high resistance to unfavorable conditions, including frost and diseases. The peony withstands low temperatures well and does not require additional winter protection, making it convenient for growing in various regions. Leaves are large, green and shiny, and stems are upright, giving the plant a neat and decorative appearance.

Careen Grey is undemanding in care and adapted to different soil types, however it prefers nutrient-rich and permeable soils. For optimal growth in spring, it is recommended to apply fertilizers with a high nitrogen content, and in late summer — feedings with a phosphorus-potassium composition. Before winter, flowers should be cut to the base. The peony is excellent for planting in gardens, parks, as well as in pots and vases on balconies and terraces. It harmoniously combines with white double roses, creating attractive floral compositions.
