Peony Lottie Dawson Rea

Pion Lottie Dawson Rea — this exquisite variety features large, dense, cup-shaped flowers in a soft pink hue, which lighten to cream as they fully open. The petals have a silky texture, and a light floral-sweet fragrance adds extra charm to the plant. Flower diameter reaches 20 cm, making it an excellent choice for cut flowers and interior decoration.

Pion bushes grow up to 80-90 cm in height and have sturdy stems with dark green leaves. Blooming occurs in May-June, corresponding to mid-to-late season. For maintaining shape and preventing flower damage in the garden, support may be needed, as the flowers are quite heavy. The pion is highly frost-resistant up to -30°C and resistant to diseases and pests, making it easy to care for and a low-maintenance plant.

This variety, introduced in 1939, is a classic favorite among gardeners, valued for its decorative appeal and reliability. It is ideal for cultivation in gardens and borders, and widely used as a cut flower due to its beauty and durability.
