Pelargonium grandiflorum 'Rachmaninov Memorial' – a compact plant about 21 cm high and nearly 30 cm in diameter, distinguished by elegant umbel-like inflorescences measuring approximately 9.5×8.7 cm. The leaves have a green hue, a triangular shape with a slight undulation, and the flowers are simple, ruffled at the edge, reaching a size of about 5.1×4.8 cm. The main color is pink with characteristic dark-purple spots, and the fragrance is absent.
The variety was developed in 2015 by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "All-Russian Research Institute of Floriculture and Subtropical Cultures" and received patent protection. It is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and pests, including greenhouse whitefly, making it a reliable choice for gardeners and indoor plant enthusiasts. Blooming lasts 140–150 days, starting in April and ending in September, providing a long period of decorative enjoyment.
'Rachmaninov Memorial' is suitable both as a pot plant in interiors and as an annual garden plant in all climate zones. As a perennial, it can be used on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus. Thanks to moderate shedding and medium stem strength, the plant is easy to care for and maintain in good condition.
