Pelargonium Raspberry

Genetic Profile and Breeding Value

The 'Malinovka' pelargonium is a specialized cultivar developed by the Russian Federal Research Center for Subtropical Science. The breeding program focused on creating a cultivar with high phenotypic plasticity, capable of performing reliably in varying climatic conditions. Unlike mass-market imports, 'Malinovka' offers robust adaptation to regional environmental stresses.

Morphological Structure and Growth Habit

The plant exhibits a stable shrub-type growth habit, which is essential for commercial nursery efficiency. The compact architecture prevents excessive stretching, reducing the dependency on growth-regulating chemicals during the cultivation cycle.

• Growth Type: Compact shrub with shortened internodes.
• Floral Specifications: Flower diameter measures 4–5 cm, resulting in a balanced and visually dense inflorescence.
• Structural Integrity: The peduncles are sufficiently rigid to support the weight of the blooms, preventing lodging and reducing physical damage during transit.

Operational Advantages

The primary technical benefit of 'Malinovka' is its consistent performance under diverse light levels. This reliability allows for optimized production scheduling. The cultivar demonstrates efficient nutrient uptake, allowing for standard fertilization protocols rather than complex, specialized regimens. This stability directly impacts the uniformity and marketability of the final product.
