Pelargonium grandiflorum variety «Zhinaida Nametkina» – a compact and dwarf plant about 28 cm high and approximately 25 cm wide, ideal for both container growing and garden planting. The leaves have a green tint, triangular shape with slight lobes, giving the bush a decorative appearance even outside the blooming season.
The sturdy peduncles can support an average number of inflorescences – about 24 per plant. The inflorescences have a umbel-like structure, loose texture and dimensions of approximately 13.6 × 9.7 cm. Each simple flower reaches 6.4 × 5.8 cm, colored in a red-purple shade with a characteristic purplish-brown spot. The flowering period lasts from 130 to 140 days, ensuring a long-lasting decorative effect.
The «Zhinaida Nametkina» variety differs in its resistance to diseases and pests, as well as medium leaf shedding, making it easy to care for. It is recommended as an annual for all climate zones, as well as a perennial on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus.
