The 'Rainbow' pear is a winter variety with moderate growth vigor and medium crown density. The tree begins fruiting on the 2nd-3rd year after planting, allowing for relatively quick harvest. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to scab, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The fruits of the 'Rainbow' pear have a pear-shaped or egg-shaped form, yellow-green color, and an average weight of 180 to 220 grams. The flesh is white, very juicy, tender, and has a balanced sweet-tart flavor, which received a high tasting rating — 4.8 points. Harvesting for consumption begins in the third decade of September, while consumer ripeness occurs no earlier than December, allowing the fruit to be enjoyed fresh for an extended period.

The fruits retain their flavor and juiciness until February-March, making the 'Rainbow' pear suitable both for fresh consumption and for winter storage. The variety was developed in 1972 through crossing the 'Winter Mliyevskaya' and 'Lubimaya Klappa' varieties, which ensured its high quality and resilience.
