Paiza «Perspektiva» – an upright bushy variety with a strong bush-forming structure and stem heights ranging from 94 to 118 cm. Leaves are widely linear, plantability is good, and the upright panicle has a loose lower part and a dense upper part, measuring 11–15 cm in length. The grain is round, gray, film-like, with a 1000-grain mass of 2.8–3.0 g.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and drought, making it suitable for cultivation under limited water supply conditions. The vegetative period from germination to the first mowing is 54–57 days, and to full maturity – 89–94 days. Dry matter yield reaches 69 c/ha, grain – 10.6 c/ha.
Paiza «Perspektiva» is widely used as green fodder and for producing dehydrated fodder (hay, silage). Thanks to its high protein content up to 9.5% and sugars from 4.7% to 6.8%, it ensures good energy value for animals. In Russia, it is cultivated in Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krai, as well as in the European part of the country, where it is grown together with millet or Sudan grass at soil temperatures of +10–12 °C. It is harvested at the stage of panicle shedding, when the fodder value is maximum.
