Brigantina F1 – high-yielding early hybrid of cauliflower developed by French breeders of the company Clause. The vegetative period is about 75 days from seedling planting, and fruit ripening begins just 2.5 months after planting. The crop is distinguished by its resistance to temperature fluctuations and hot weather, as well as durability against infectious diseases.
Plants form a dense vegetative mass, which ensures good head covering by leaves. Snow-white, round inflorescences reach a weight of 2 to 2.5 kg (up to 3 kg at lower planting density). With large fruit sizes, leaves above the inflorescences sometimes need to be tied for full sun protection.
Brigantina F1 is suitable both for fresh market sales and for processing and freezing. Thanks to the density and uniformity of the heads, the crop is easily transported even over long distances, making the variety in demand among farmers and processing companies.
