Crilion is a hardy shrub of medium size, reaching up to three meters in height and a crown width of about two and a half meters. Its branches are covered with numerous stipules, while thorns are found only on the lower parts of the shoots, making the plant convenient for growing in gardens and orchards.
Crilion's colorless berries differ with a bright red color, cylindrical shape, and medium size. They have a sweet taste with a slight astringency but lack aromatic notes. Inside the berries, a thin shiny skin is covered with silvery-white dots, and the pedicel is long and green. The sugar content is 11.4%, acidity is 0.9%, and vitamin C reaches 110.6 mg, making the berries a valuable source of antioxidants.
Crilion begins fruiting as early as three to four years after planting. The berry season lasts until the end of July, and the average yield is about 103 centners per hectare. Thanks to its winter hardiness and cold resistance, this variety is perfect for growing in various climatic conditions, ensuring stable high yields even under unfavorable weather conditions.
