Tkachenkovsky — a medium-maturing onion variety developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The vegetation period ranges from 96 to 108 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The bulbs of this variety are round or round-oval, very dense, with a weight of 110 to 150 grams.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 40-50 tons per hectare in annual cultivation. The onion has a sharp flavor, making it versatile for various culinary uses. The dry scales of the bulbs are yellow, while the juicy inner layers are white, indicating good quality and freshness of the product.

One of the key advantages of the Tkachenkovsky variety is the high storability of the bulbs, reaching up to 90%. This allows for long-term storage without loss of commercial and flavor qualities.
