Sprint

The SPRINT onion is an early-maturing long-day hybrid of bulb onion, characterized by quick ripening and high yield. It takes only 40-65 days from planting to the mass lodging of leaves, allowing for a quick harvest. The bulbs have a round or flat-round shape, a light yellow color with a pinkish tint, are dense and weigh up to 50 grams. The onion has a piquant and spicy taste, making it versatile for various culinary purposes, including use for green tops.

The SPRINT variety is characterized by good disease resistance: infection with neck and bacterial rot does not exceed 3%, and moderate resistance to pink root rot is noted. The onion stores well for a long time, is resistant to sprouting during the winter period, which ensures the preservation of the harvest and allows for long-term use of seed material.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow agronomic measures, including preparation and disinfection of planting material, cutting the neck and basal plate, normalization of nests, selection of suitable soil, fertilization, and timely harvesting of crops. Seed material is suitable for growing family onions, which allows obtaining a stable and quality yield of both bulb and green tops.
