Description Andreyka
The Shallot 'Andreika' is a mid-season biennial herbaceous vegetable bred at the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy. This variety was specifically adapted for cultivation in northern regions and recommended for growing as a two-year crop on home gardens. The bulb has a transverse-elliptical shape, a dense structure, and weighs about 26-40 grams. The dry skins are dark brown with a reddish tint, while the juicy parts have a pinkish hue. The bulb has a thin neck, which contributes to good maturity and high-quality storage.

The variety is characterized by medium clump formation, producing 5-6 bulbs per clump. The taste is semi-sharp with a distinct aroma, making it in demand in cooking. Before harvesting, the crop fully matures, ensuring 100% maturity. The yield reaches 1.8 kg per square meter, indicating its high productivity. Additionally, the 'Andreika' shallot boasts excellent transportability and the ability to store for over a year without losing taste and market qualities.

This shallot variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Russia, confirmed by its inclusion in the state register. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptation to the climate conditions of northern territories, 'Andreika' is a reliable choice for gardeners and farmers seeking high-quality and tasty onion harvests with a long shelf life.
