Description SLAVA OZHAROVA ONION
The Sweet Onion variety 'Slava Ozharova' is a late-maturing and high-yield variety, distinguished by large round bulbs weighing from 60 to 180 grams. The bulbs are covered with yellow, well-adhering, and hard dry scales, typically numbering about four. The neck of the onion is thick, and the flesh is fleshy, white-green in color with a soft or semi-sharp taste, making this variety universal for use in salads, spices, as well as in soups and main dishes.

The vegetation period of the variety ranges from 140 to 150 days, which classifies it as a late-maturing crop. The onion matures well, with a ripeness level before harvest of 50 to 80%, reaching 80-95% after post-harvest ripening. The variety is noted for its high commercial yield, which can reach from 107 to 129 centners per hectare, with actual yields exceeding 40 tons per hectare. A significant portion of the yield consists of bulbs with a diameter of more than 7 cm.

The Slava Ozharova variety is recommended for growing sweet onions in a one-year culture from seeds. Thanks to its good storability and ability to retain its qualities throughout the winter, this onion is an excellent choice for long-term storage. Its nutritional properties and culinary versatility make it in demand among gardeners and healthy eating enthusiasts.
