Orient Star — this is a super early hybrid of Chinese cabbage, intended for spring and autumn cultivation. It is distinguished by its rapid maturation period — about 55 days after sowing, which allows for an early and stable harvest. The hybrid is resistant to bolting and flowering, has excellent immunity and high resistance to typical Chinese cabbage diseases, ensuring product reliability and quality.
The cabbage forms uniform, dense, and compact cylindrical or barrel-shaped heads of light green color with a dense internal structure. The average head weight ranges from 1 to 2 kg, making it suitable for various culinary purposes. The upper leaves have a deep green color, upright and ribbed, giving the plant an attractive appearance. The hybrid is characterized by high flavor qualities, making it ideal for fresh consumption, salad preparation, and other dishes.
Orient Star is recommended to be grown using seedling method with protective coverings such as plastic film, agrofiber, or greenhouses, which promotes optimal plant development. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1–1.5 cm with a density of approximately 70,000 plants per hectare. The cabbage responds well to regular, properly dosed watering and fertilization. The hybrid exhibits uniform maturation, excellent appearance retention during transport, and a long storage period without quality loss, which is highly valued in the market for commercial produce.
