Onion FRACTAL

Technological potential of the "Fractal" onion variety

The breeding program by NPK "Sembiotek" for the "Fractal" variety focuses on achieving a balance between vigorous vegetative development and an extended dormancy period. With a maturity cycle of 120–130 days, this mid-late onion variety forms bulbs with dense tissue structures, which directly correlates to an impressive storage capacity of 6–7 months without significant quality loss.

Morphological traits and yield capacity

A key structural feature of this variety is its round-cuboid bulb shape, which optimizes storage density in crates and reduces mechanical damage during transit. The variety offers flexible weight ranges: from 80–90 g in standard cultivation to 180–200 g under intensive management. The yield potential exceeding 100 tons per hectare establishes "Fractal" as a robust solution for high-intensity commercial vegetable farming.

Phytopathological resistance as a baseline for stability

The breeding strategy for "Fractal" prioritizes a strong immune profile. Genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis) minimizes the risk of leaf blight during critical growth stages. Combined with resistance to fusarium, the variety adapts well to challenging environmental conditions. This reliability allows agricultural enterprises to optimize their fungicide programs, effectively lowering production costs while increasing the overall environmental sustainability and uniformity of the final harvest.
