Spinaglet — a high-yielding, mid-season parthenocarpic hybrid cucumber, suitable for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is predominantly female-flowering with indeterminate growth and weak branching, beginning fruiting on day 53-55 after emergence. Up to three fruits form per node, contributing to high yield, reaching 13.3-14.0 kg per square meter.
The Spinaglet cucumber fruits are cylindrical, finely ribbed, white-silky, 7-11 cm long, and weigh 85-95 g. They have an excellent flavor without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. The green coloration with stripes and mottling gives them an attractive appearance.
The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases such as cladosporiosis, cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and other fungal infections. For successful cultivation, place plants in open sunny areas, fertilize 2-3 times during the vegetative period with complex fertilizers, and water with warm water after sunset. The optimal soil temperature for seed germination is 25-30°С.
