Spring oat variety "Komes" was developed by the Federal Scientific Center "VIR named after V.R. Williams" and included in the register of approved varieties since 1991. This variety is intended for cultivation in the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, and Middle Volga regions. The panicle of oat "Komes" is not wide, reaches a length of up to 22 cm, the grain is flaky, constitutes 27-29% of the mass, has a yellow color and may be without awns. The thousand-grain weight is approximately 35 grams, and the vegetation period varies from 75 to 100 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes.
