Oat Derby

Oats of the Derby variety are a medium-maturity forage crop developed by leading Russian research institutes. This variety is distinguished by high drought resistance and moderate resistance to powdery bunt, ensuring stable yield under various climatic conditions. In particular, in the Lower Volga region, the yield reaches 23.8 centners per hectare. The grain is characterized by high protein content — from 12.1 to 15.4%, as well as good bulk density of the grain within 450-530 g/l, indicating its high quality. The mass of a thousand seeds varies from 31 to 38 grams, which is an indicator of grain density and uniformity.
