Description CREOL
CREOL is a medium-maturing spring oat (Avena sativa L.) variety intended for grain-fodder and grain-cutting use. It is characterized by large, hulled grain with a 1000-grain weight of 35 to 51.8 grams and a hulling rate of about 26.1%. The natural grain mass is 486-550 g/l, and the grain yield reaches 81%. The protein content in the grain is approximately 13.5%, making this variety valuable for fodder purposes. The vegetative period of the variety ranges from 79 to 93 days, corresponding to the medium-maturing type. The CREOL variety is distinguished by high yield: average grain yield reaches 5.17 t/ha, and the maximum is 6.94 t/ha. Additionally, it forms a significant mass of green mass — from 20.8 to 27.1 t/ha. The variety has good drought resistance and moderate resistance to powdery scab, as well as resistance to lodging. However, it is susceptible to crown rust. Thanks to these characteristics, CREOL is suitable for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate, in particular in the Kemerovo region and the West Siberian region. CREOL is recommended for cultivation as a grain crop, ensuring high yields and stable grain quality. Its resistance to diseases and pests contributes to reduced losses during storage and processing. The variety is of medium height and belongs to the mutica type, which affects its adaptation to various soil and climate conditions. All these features make CREOL an attractive choice for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality grain and green mass.
