Maize Asteri CS

Reliable Yields with French Precision

The 'Asteri KS' hybrid from Caussade Semences is a perfect example of French breeding focused on high performance and robustness. After a full season, it has proven to be a reliable choice for commercial grain fields.

Field Performance

Being a flint-dent hybrid, it delivers excellent grain weight and quality. It effectively resists boil smut and Fusarium ear rot, which helps reduce the need for aggressive fungicide programs.

Key Operational Advantages:

• High Resilience: Strong natural defense against Fusarium, leaf blight, and stem rot.
• Stable Genetics: A simple hybrid, which ensures consistent plant development and predictable results across the field.
• Grain Quality: Excellent grain filling, making it easy to handle during harvest and drying.

Operating in the field, 'Asteri KS' is quite undemanding. It matures evenly, and the grain release is efficient, which is crucial for reducing drying costs. It is a workhorse hybrid that respects the agronomic inputs you provide. If you are looking for a variety from a reputable originator like Lidea France that won't surprise you with instability, this is a solid bet for your next planting season.
