Maize Scafors KS

French breeding for stable yields

The «Скафор КС» (Scafor KS) hybrid by Caussade Semences is a versatile solution for farmers seeking reliability. Its three-line hybrid structure ensures high adaptability to fluctuating weather conditions, making it a predictable choice for both grain production and high-quality silage management.

Agronomic Advantages

• Dual Purpose: The hybrid performs consistently in both grain and silage directions. The flint-dent kernel type ensures high test weight, while the vegetative mass retains high nutritional value throughout the growing season.
• Phytosanitary Resilience: A key feature of the Scafor KS is its robust genetic resistance to a range of pathogens. It provides effective protection against helminthosporium and fusarium, significantly reducing harvest loss risks under intensive farming practices.
• Planting Density: Optimal yields are achieved with a planting density of 75,000–80,000 plants per hectare, allowing for balanced competition for water and nutrients even in dry, challenging seasons.

Practical Application

Choosing Scafor KS is ideal for farms aiming to minimize the risks of stalk and ear rot. Due to its superior resistance to head smut and fusarium, this hybrid serves as a strategic asset for fields with high infection pressure. The French genetics from Caussade Semences result in uniform, well-filled cobs with an excellent dry matter yield, facilitating efficient harvesting, logistics, and storage operations.
