Dolanka carrot variety is a late-maturing type with a vegetation period of about 120 days, making it ideal for long-term storage. The roots have a conical shape, reach up to 200 grams in weight, and feature a bright orange-red color. The flesh is uniform, almost without core, which enhances taste quality and makes the variety especially attractive to consumers. Root dimensions vary from 17 to 25 cm in length and up to 6 cm in diameter, ensuring good market appearance.
The Dolanka variety is characterized by high yield — up to 8 kg per square meter — as well as resistance to diseases such as fusarium, cracking, and pests including carrot fly. Thanks to these characteristics, carrots are suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Sowing should be done from March to May with row spacing of no less than 35 cm, and thinning should be performed after emergence, leaving about 4 cm between plants. Harvesting takes place from August to October.
Dolanka carrots have an excellent taste due to their high sugar and carotene content, making them both nutritious and delicious when eaten fresh, processed, or frozen. The variety is excellent for long-term storage, with a shelf life of up to 6-7 months, allowing the harvest to be used throughout the entire cold season. The producer of this variety is the Polish company Legutko, which guarantees high seed quality and stable yields.
