Carrot Kortina F1

Stable Yield for Long-Term Storage

The «Cortina F1» carrot, produced by the Ukrainian company «Tiras», is designed for professional vegetable growers who prioritize late-season yields and excellent storage quality. As a Flakko-type hybrid, it occupies a specific niche for those focusing on winter and spring market supplies.

Agronomic Traits

This hybrid requires patience, with a growing period spanning 140 to 160 days. This extended cycle is essential for building a robust leaf canopy and accumulating the dry matter necessary for long-term shelf life. The plant is perfectly adapted to late-season conditions, preparing the roots for extended storage.

• Shape and Color: The roots are semi-conical in shape, reaching a length of 17–20 cm. Their deep, vibrant orange-red color provides strong visual appeal, which is a major advantage for commercial retail.
• Harvesting: The plant features strong foliage, making it well-suited for mechanical harvesting. With high resistance to common carrot diseases, «Cortina F1» reduces the need for intensive fungicide applications.

Why Choose Cortina F1?

«Cortina F1» is the optimal choice for farms planning to sell their produce during the winter-spring transition. Unlike early-maturing varieties meant for immediate turnover, this hybrid is built for long-term strategies. Its main strength lies in its ability to maintain structural integrity and freshness until spring. However, it requires careful timing; late sowing or early frosts can hinder its genetic potential regarding root weight.

For producers who prioritize consistency in size, shape, and shelf-life over early maturity, this hybrid offers a reliable solution for professional-grade vegetable production.
