The one-annual garden oregano variety «PICK-NIC» is distinguished by its exceptional taste and enduring aroma, which intensifies upon drying. Thanks to these qualities, the plant is widely used in culinary applications: its seeds are added to marinades, as a seasoning for salads, meat and fish dishes, as well as beans and sauces.
Oregano «PICK-NIC» possesses bactericidal properties, making it beneficial for preserving the freshness of prepared dishes. Tall plants reach up to 1.5 m, and during the flowering period they are covered with small, tender pink inflorescences, giving the garden a decorative appearance.
For cultivation, seeds can be sown directly without seedlings on fertile soils, maintaining optimal moisture and regularly removing weeds. The vegetative period is approximately 110 days, after which the plants are ready for harvesting and drying.
