Reymiel

Reymiel F1 watermelon is a medium-late hybrid of the Pel de Sapo type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The maturation period is 80–85 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The fruits have an oval shape with longitudinal lines and slight ribbing, weighing 4–5 kilograms. The rind is green, and the flesh is perfectly white with a small seed cavity. Sugar content in the fruit reaches 13–15%, ensuring high taste quality and pleasant aroma. The plant is medium-height with good leaf coverage, promoting effective photosynthesis and fruit development. The watermelon exhibits high and stable yield, especially with intensive cultivation methods. Recommended planting density is 4–8 thousand plants per hectare depending on cultivation conditions. Reymiel F1 is resistant to several diseases, including fusarium and leaf spot virus, and has moderate resistance to powdery mildew. Additionally, the hybrid tolerates sunscald and long-distance transportation without quality loss. Reymiel watermelon is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, such as fruit slices. Due to its high vitamin and sugar content, it is a nutritious and tasty product. The fruits are not only attractive in appearance and excellent in taste but also have good storability, making them marketable. This hybrid is ideal for cultivation in open fields and under cover, ensuring consistent and high-quality yields.
