Description ISSEERA
ISSEERA (Latin name Papaver somniferum L.) is a poppy variety distinguished by its high fat content in seeds – 51.6%, which is 4% higher than the standard Parus variety. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 0.52 to 0.54 g, and seed yield reaches up to 1.57 t/ha. The 99-day vegetation period allows for scheduling agricultural activities within the standard agricultural calendar.

ISSEERA is characterized by its resistance to helminthosporiosis: infection levels are only 6.8%. The seeds have a bluish tint, while the petals are white with a purple spot. The seed pod does not open and has a flat base, which facilitates mechanized harvesting and subsequent processing.

The variety is intended for oil production and food products, including the confectionery industry. Gross oil yield reaches 0.75 t/ha. Seeds contain alkaloids – a total of 0.094%, of which morphine constitutes 0.028%. This allows ISSEERA to be used as a raw material, complying with safety requirements and controlling opioid content.

ISSEERA meets the requirements for mechanized harvesting, care, and processing, making it an attractive choice for modern agro-industrial enterprises. The originator and patent holder is LLC SC 'RUSSIAN POPPY'.
