Portulaca SUNNY SPARKLE

SUNNY SPARKLE – a large-flowered ground-cover annual forming compact bushes up to 15 cm high and 40 cm wide. The plant features double light-yellow flowers about 4 cm in diameter that fully open only in bright sunlight.

Portulaca adapts perfectly to various soil conditions: it grows on poor and even rocky soil, requires no fertilization, and withstands high temperatures. Its drought tolerance allows it to maintain its decorative appearance with minimal watering.

The flowering season lasts from June until the first frosts. For cultivation, seeds are sown for seedlings in February–March (or March–April), covered with glass or plastic film, and kept in light; seedlings appear in 7–15 days. After the frosts end, the plants are transplanted into open ground, where they form dense carpets, suitable for borders, rock gardens, retaining walls, and balcony boxes. Care includes moderate watering, soil loosening, and periodic feeding.

Thus, SUNNY SPARKLE is a reliable, decorative, and practical choice for creating bright, sunny compositions in any conditions.
