The Little Prince is an early-maturing variety of field lettuce with compact rosettes 15–20 cm in diameter and a plant weight of about 20–25 g. The leaves are smooth, juicy, have a delicate structure and a pronounced nutty taste, making them an excellent addition to any dish. The variety grows quickly, does not require much attention, and yields 1.3–1.5 kg/m², allowing it to be intensively grown even on small plots.
The period from germination to harvest is only 26–30 days. Seeds are sown directly into the ground at a depth of 1–1.5 cm, and if desired, can be sown several times per season with an interval of 10–15 days to obtain greens for an extended period. Plants require timely watering, weeding, and loosening, but do not require complex fertilization.
The Little Prince is rich in vitamins A, B6, C, E and minerals – iron, zinc, manganese, potassium. Due to its high vitamin C content (covering 64% of the daily norm), it possesses antioxidant properties, supports skin, bone, and cardiovascular health. Lettuce pairs excellently with other products in fresh salads, pickled appetizers, and soups, and can also be used as a decorative element of dishes.
