Unico onion is a medium-height hybrid of bulb onion, characterized by high yield and versatility in use. The bulb has a medium size and egg-shaped form with a medium-sized neck, maximum weight reaching 135 grams. The outer scales have a yellow-brown color, and the flesh is white. The maturation period is medium, the time from planting to harvest ranges from 128 to 131 days, corresponding to approximately 120-125 days of vegetation.
This hybrid is resistant to stressful conditions and a complex of diseases, ensuring a stable yield even under adverse climatic conditions. The bulbs are dense, maintain their market appearance for a long time, and are excellent for long-term storage and transportation. Due to these qualities, Unico onion is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. Moreover, it tolerates mechanical harvesting, simplifying the harvesting process.
Seed production is carried out by Moravoseed (Czech Republic), ensuring high-quality planting material. Seeds are packed in packages of 25,000 and 250,000 units, with a content of 200 to 260 seeds per gram.
