Alfalfa NUTRIX

French Breeding Excellence for Forage Production

Nutrix alfalfa, developed by the French company Gie Grass, stands out in the forage crop market as a high-performance solution for intensive farming. Hailing from France, this variety is engineered for producers who prioritize high dry matter yields and consistent nutritional value across multiple cutting seasons.

Agronomic Advantages and Resilience

The Nutrix variety reaches a height of 70–100 cm, a structural trait that facilitates efficient mechanical harvesting and reduces field losses. Beyond its yield potential, the variety is specifically bred for durability in challenging field conditions:

• Disease Resistance: Nutrix possesses robust genetic resistance to anthracnose, significantly reducing the risk of fungal outbreaks in humid environments.
• Nematode Tolerance: Its strong tolerance to nematodes ensures the stand remains thick and productive, even on sites with high soil pathogen pressure.

Market Positioning

As the originator, Gie Grass provides a variety that fits perfectly into professional agricultural systems. Nutrix is widely recognized for its fast regrowth cycle and longevity, making it a reliable choice for pure alfalfa stands or integration into high-quality forage mixtures. By choosing Nutrix, farmers invest in the precision of French breeding, ensuring a reliable supply of high-protein forage that maintains its quality over several years of intensive cultivation.
