Mamontenok

The Marmontenok honeysuckle is a decorative and fruit-bearing shrub of the honeysuckle family, distinguished by its unique appearance and abundant flowering. This variety is valued for its large, bright berries of dark purple color with a waxy coating and thick skin, ensuring good fruit transportability. The berries have a wide-oval shape with a large-bumpy surface and a sweet-sour dessert taste, making them attractive for fresh consumption as well as for making jams, compotes, and desserts.

Mamontenok is characterized by high yield – about 4 kg of berries can be collected from one bush. The ripening period is medium-late, which allows enjoying the fruits at the optimal time. In addition to taste qualities, the berries contain a complex of biologically active substances, including vitamin C, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid, and various macro- and micronutrients, which gives them high food and therapeutic value.

The plant is frost-resistant and tolerates drought well, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Honeysuckle Mamontenok is easy to care for and is also a nectar plant, which additionally attracts bees and contributes to garden biodiversity.
