Description Valor
The VALOR raspberry variety belongs to the medium-late to late maturing group, with harvest beginning in the first decade of September and fruit ripening until the end of the month. This variety is characterized by high yield and large berries, weighing approximately 50–80 grams. Berries have oval or egg-shaped forms with a burgundy-purple skin covered by a waxy coating, and flesh ranging from green-cream to yellow-orange at full maturity. The flavor is sweet, dessert-like with a slight acidity, and the aroma is distinctly pronounced, making them appealing for fresh consumption, freezing, and processing.

The plant features a medium-height, upright, compact bush with a broad, spherical, moderately dense crown, which facilitates care and pruning. VALOR exhibits high cold hardiness and good drought tolerance, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions. It is self-pollinating, enabling planting in monocultures without the need for adjacent pollinating varieties. Fruit production begins in the third year after planting, and maximum yield is achieved after 10 years, with up to 120 kg of berries per bush.

For successful cultivation, plant seedlings in sunny locations protected from harsh winter winds, on fertile and well-drained soils. The variety shows moderate resistance to diseases, particularly it is nearly immune to fungal diseases, though it lacks immunity to anthracnose. VALOR berries can be stored for up to six weeks, making this variety suitable for commercial cultivation and long-term storage.
