Antant

Antant is a late-maturing flax variety developed for high yield and quality seeds. It features a long stem about 79 cm tall and early flowering, which allows effective use of the 87-day vegetative period. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in Vologda and Tver regions.

Antant exhibits good yield: average flax stalk yield is about 46 c/ha, which is 0.9 c/ha higher than the standard, while seed yield reaches 4.6 c/ha, meeting standard indicators. The 1000-seed mass is 4.9 g, indicating good seed material quality. The fiber content in the plant reaches 31.1%, with long fiber yield at 22.4% and relative breaking strength at 14.3 g/tex, indicating fiber strength and quality.

The Antant variety has high resistance to lodging (4.6 points) and shattering (5.0 points), and is also resistant to diseases such as fusarium wilt and rust. Its low fertilizer requirement makes it economically advantageous for cultivation.
