Aisberg

The Iceberg flax variety is characterized by plant height of 54-57 cm and a vegetation period of 86-88 days. The flower of this variety is white, star-shaped, and the seeds have a moderately brown color with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 7.7 to 8.0 grams. The oil content in the seeds is 47.0–49.0%, ensuring high oil yield of the crop.

Iceberg has a medium seed yield of 1.8–2.1 tons per hectare, making it promising for commercial cultivation. The variety was created using induced mutagenesis, which improved its resistance to adverse factors. In particular, it exhibits high resistance to Fusarium wilt and lodging, significantly reducing yield losses and enhancing production stability.

Recommended for cultivation in the Steppe zone of Ukraine, where climatic conditions require plant resistance to stress and diseases. Due to its characteristics, the Iceberg variety is suitable for obtaining high-quality flax fiber with high oil content, making it in demand among agricultural producers focused on oil production.
