Flax Charoïd

A stable flax variety for diversified production

The «Charoid» fiber flax variety, developed by the Polissia Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS, holds a solid position in the segment of dual-purpose crops. Its primary value lies in its balance: it performs equally well in producing high-quality fiber and yields seeds with a high oil content.

Agronomic features and breeding value

Unlike narrowly specialized hybrids, «Charoid» demonstrates high adaptability to the soil and climatic conditions of the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. Its strengths include resistance to lodging, which is critical for intensive farming practices. The plant features a strong stem, ensuring uniform fiber ripening.

• Versatility: high productivity in both fiber and seed production.
• Raw material quality: stable output of long fiber with excellent strength and flexibility.
• Manageability: predictable response to agronomic practices, which simplifies harvest planning.

Who is this variety for? «Charoid» is ideal for agricultural businesses looking to diversify production and mitigate risks. If you prefer not to rely solely on seeds or exclusively on fiber, this variety serves as a reliable tool for consistent profitability. It is worth noting that the variety requires strict adherence to crop rotation and high-quality soil preparation. When managed correctly, it achieves its full potential even in seasons with unstable weather conditions.
