Flax VNIIMK 620 FN

VNIIMK 620 FN is an early-ripening variety of oil flax, characterized by high adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions and a low response to changes in day length. The vegetation period lasts 80-85 days, with plant height reaching 65-68 cm. Flowering begins early; the corolla color changes from blue-violet in the bud stage to deep blue at full development. Seeds are brown, with an oil content of about 48-50% and a 1000-seed weight of approximately 6.8 g. The capsule is of medium size with a fringe on the false septum, while the sepals almost lack spotting. The variety is characterized by synchronized flowering and ripening, high resistance to lodging, and good adaptation to mechanized harvesting. It is drought-resistant, resistant to Fusarium, ecologically plastic, and highly responsive to mineral fertilization, ensuring stable yields up to 27 c/ha. Thanks to these qualities, VNIIMK 620 FN is suitable for cultivation in various regions with different climatic conditions. The main application of the variety is the production of technical oil and fiber, making it versatile for agricultural use. High yield and good agronomic properties allow for the effective use of this variety in the agro-industrial complex, ensuring a high-quality and stable crop of oil flax.
