Vulsini salad is a medium-maturing leaf lettuce type "Oak Leaf" with bright red color and decorative anthocyanin tint. The rosette is large, dense, and heavy, reaching a diameter of 25-30 cm and a weight of about 350-500 g. Leaves have a soft, delicate texture with a glossy surface, slightly wavy edges, and blistered structure, giving the plant aesthetic appeal and making it ideal for salads and dish garnishing. The inner part of the leaves is light green and retains freshness and tenderness for a long time, and the flavor is mild without bitterness.
The Vulsini variety exhibits high resistance to bolting, viral, and fungal diseases, including lettuce mosaic virus, false powdery mildew (strains 1-25), and damage from lettuce aphids (Nasonovia ribisnigri). Thanks to these qualities, along with good rosette density and high yield (about 3.5-4.5 kg/m²), this variety is suitable for cultivation under various conditions. Recommended planting density is 90,000-100,000 plants per hectare.
